Dr. Arsky is the winner of the Eldorado Prize in 1991, an important music prize in Brazil and semi-finalist of the East and West Competition for the Carnegie Hall in 1995. As a saxophone player, he develops a carrier as a soloist, chamber musician and professor.

He has performed as soloist with many groups such as the Orquestra Sinfônica de Campinas, the Orquestra Sinfônica do Teatro Nacional Cláudio Santoro, University of Louisville Symphony Orchestra, Camerata Maksoud Plaza, Banda Sinfônica de Brasília, and Gainesville Community Band under the baton of some great conductors as Cláudio Santoro, Benito Juarez, David Harman, Simon Blech, Per Brevig and Gary Langford.

He also was the saxophonist of the Grupo Novo Horizonte, group that is specialized in Brazilian Twenty-Century Music, and a member of the Com Domínio do Sax, one of the first saxophone quartet in Brazil, which has performed in South and North America as well as in many countries of Europe and participated in important festivals as The World Saxophone Congress in Valencia, Spain, he Wien Jazz Festival and The Brazilian Music Festival in Istanbul, Tukey.

Dr. Arsky got his Ph.D. in Music Education from University of Florida, Master’s degree from University of Louisville and bachelor’s degree from University of Brasilia - Brazil, both in performance, saxophone. and studied and had orientation from Luiz Gonzaga Carneiro, Lee Patrick, Michael Tracy and Sigurd Rascher.

Since 1994 Dr. Arsky is the saxophone professor at the University of Brasília where also teaches chamber music, theory, jazz and Bossa Nova studies. In 1995 started the popular music program at the UnB music department with a Jazz Band. On following years added more courses as combo practice, popular music theory and history as subjects for the students.

There are many other activities developed by Dr. Arsky for the past 25 years. From 1998 to 2001 was the head of the Music department of the University of Brasilia. In 2000 and 2001 was a consultant for the Ministerio da Cultura (National Secretary of Culture) for the National Band Program. From 2002 to 2005 was a member of the Cultural Council of the Distrito Federal (Federal District where Brasilia is located). In 2003 went to Beijing, China as a consultant for Chinese winds instruments factories. From 2003 to 2010 was a Weril (musical instrument factory) artist (endorser). From 2006 to 2013 was the director of bands of the American School of Brasilia where there are more than 120 middle and high school students enrolled.

In 2020, Dr. Arsky started his third term as head of the UnB Music Department.
